Lake Elmer Thomas Recreation Area is offering kayak and paddleboard lessons throughout the summer season, providing a great opportunity for participants to learn new skills and enjoy time on the water.
Open to ages 8 and older, these lessons are designed for beginners as well as those looking to improve their technique in a safe and guided environment.
- Kayak lessons are held on Fridays at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m.
- Paddleboard lessons take place on Fridays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m.
The program runs from May 22 through September 5. Each session is $15 per participant, and pre-registration is required due to limited availability.

The program is open to the public; however, a visitor pass is required for individuals without a valid DoD ID card.
