Child and Youth Services will host a FREE imAlone training for registered CYS youth in grades 5-12 at the Southern Plains Community Center (5434 Rossbach Road) at 9 a.m. The three-hour training activities and assignments will help youth and their parents make decisions on when and how long they may stay at home by themselves. Youth will learn techniques for being safe, how to respond to situations and emergencies when they are alone, time management, how to safely prepare healthy snacks, the importance of rules, how to make good decisions, and ways to solve conflicts peacefully. Space is limited, and participants must register by November 10, respectively.
