Fort Sill has the perfect spot for your next picnic. You can reserve one of the five outdoor parks at the Outdoor Adventure Center (Equipment Checkout Center). These parks can be reserved for your family outings or group at no charge. 

Lake Elmer Thomas Recreation Area (LETRA) is Fort Sill’s premier recreation destination meeting your recreation and lodging needs with close proximity to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, Medicine Park, and Fort Sill. LETRA is located at the base of Mt. Scott on a 360-acre, no-wake lake with year-round camping availability and summer-season recreation activities.

Seasonal Outdoor Swimming Pool

Rinehart Fitness Center offers its patrons multiple opportunities to increase their fitness levels through the more than thirty pieces of the latest Precor & LifeFitness cardio equipment, Hammer Strength free weight, and selectorized weight equipment.

This 50,325 square foot facility allows patrons to use two racquetball courts for challenge play, or pick-up games. There are three basketball courts available and three separate weight rooms with weight equipment that can improve. 

Rinehart Fitness Center also offers an indoor swimming pool for those individuals looking for a different type of cardio workout. The 8-lane, 25-meter pool offers two 1m diving boards and one 3m diving board and an elevated viewing section. There is always one lane available for lap swimming, except during swim meets, or dependent upon the unit training mission.

Bring your firearms for a day of target practice. The range has 12 rifle lanes and 16 pistol lanes. With the new pistol Caliber Carbine Course, you will be able to hone your skills with a combination of steel, clay, and paper targets in multiple configurations. The Rod and Gun Club also offers shooting range reservations and Oklahoma Concealed Carry Course once a month.
